Aims and Objectives
The CISRS scaffolding part 2 course is suitable for adult trainees who have already completed and passed the CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 course and have had the recommended amount of further scaffolding experience (a minimum of 6 months) prior to commencing part 2 training. The part 2 course is designed to train suitable candidates to the objectives approved by CISRS in the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of the following types of scaffolds:

•Basic independent tied scaffold with prefabricated beams •Protection fans •Pavement gantry •Loading bay •Roof saddle scaffold •Splay scaffold •Roof edge protection •Truss out scaffold •Mobile access towers
By the end of the course: •The trainee operative will be able to interpret scaffold drawings •The trainee operative will be able, as a member of a team, to erect, alter and dismantle the following scaffolds safely and in their correct sequence •The ‘scaffolder’ grade and VQ2 assessment is the established trade competency for the scaffolding industry and enables scaffolders to lead or partake in the majority of scaffolding operations, as covered by this training and assessment
Pre-Requisites
Candidates must have successfully completed a Scaffolding Part 1 Course and had (a minimum of) a further 6 months scaffolding experience before attending their Part 2. We will require a copy of the candidates Scaffolding Part 1 Certificate as proof of your training (Unless the Scaffolding Part 1 Course was completed at LTC Training Services in which case we will hold a copy on file).
Literacy and language comprehension are important requirements on all courses. Any physical impairment or literacy issues should be discussed with LTC Training Services prior to making a booking so we can best accommodate your needs.

Who will benefit from this course
The law requires that any individual wishing to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding must be able to prove their competency. The industry-wide accepted proof of competency for operatives is to hold a CISRS scaffolder card.
To be eligible to apply for this card, candidates must successfully complete the following 4 elements of training;
1. CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 course 2. CISRS Scaffolding Part 2 course 3. Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) Scaffolding 4. CISRS 1 Day Skills Assessment
Certification for all of the above courses will need to be attached to your CISRS scaffolder card application form for it to be issued. See the relevant course descriptions and our training route flowchart for further information.
The CISRS scaffolding part 2 course is suitable for adult trainees who have already completed and passed the CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 course and have had the recommended amount of further scaffolding experience (a minimum of 6 months) prior to commencing part 2.
Candidates must successfully complete the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) Scaffolding and subsequently attend the CISRS 1 Day Skills Assessment prior to obtaining the CISRS scaffolder card – all of which can be completed at LTC Training Services.

Please ensure you read the attached course information carefully (Including details of the equipment candidates are required to bring, what content is covered during the course and details of all 4 elements of training that candidates must complete before they can apply for their CISRS Scaffolder Card (i.e. Part 1, Part 2, NVQ Diploma Level 2 and 1 Day Skills Assessment).
NVQ Level 2 Portfolio - It is not compulsory but we highly recommend that trainees pay £300 non-refundable deposit payment towards their NVQ Level 2 when attending their Part 2 course (total NVQ Level 2 fee £511 + VAT plus £93 NVQ Registration - total fee, including VAT, £706.20). CISRS have now standardised both the CISRS Part 1 and more recently the CISRS Part 2. Time has now been set aside within the course programme (CISRS Part 2) to discuss each candidates NVQ. Your candidate will be included in all NVQ sessions but should you require us to register them and issue trainees with their blank portfolio whilst they are here please let us know and we will raise all the relevant paperwork/invoice. Trainees will be able to discuss the NVQ portfolio in more detail with our NVQ Assessor whilst they are training. The remaining balance must be paid within 3 months of the invoice date. The NVQ must be completed and signed off before candidates can book and attend their CISRS Skills Assessments.

PLEASE NOTE: LTC Training Services are unable to supply safety boots, in the case that you do not bring safety boots, we can sell them at £20.00 + VAT
